Dear Lecanto Primary School Families,
I hope this message finds you well as we begin the second half of our school year. It's hard to believe how quickly time is flying by, and I wanted to take a moment to update you on our school's progress and share some exciting news.
Our students and teachers have been working hard, and I am pleased to report that we have seen academic growth across all grade levels in both ELA and Math according to our winter FAST assessments. Teachers have been implementing innovative and engaging lessons, and it's inspiring to see the collaboration and enthusiasm between our students. I know that they will continue striving for success!
Our school community remains one of the strongest in our area, and I want to express my gratitude for your ongoing support. Parental involvement is crucial to our success, and I encourage you to attend PTO meetings, SAC meetings, school events, and engage in open communication with your child's teachers.
We are so lucky to be part of the Lecanto School Complex and love welcoming high school and middle school students onto our campus. We are going to continue our collaborative programs including High Five Fridays, Roaring with the Panthers, Panthers Celebrating Panthers, and after school volunteer programs. We hope your child is enjoying these events as much as we are!
We have several exciting events planned for the upcoming months, including:
- PTO meeting on January 17 at 4:15 in the Media Center
- Literacy Week January 22-26
- SAC meeting on January 24 at 4:15 in the Media Center
- PTO Winter Dance on January 26 from 5:30-7:30
- Title I Literacy Night on March 7 from 5:00-7:00
- PTO Kickball Game on March 15 from 5:00-7:00
These occasions provide excellent opportunities for families to come together, celebrate our students' achievements, and strengthen our sense of community. Please mark your calendars, and I look forward to seeing you at these events.
Thank you for your continued support, and let's make the rest of this school year a fantastic and memorable experience as we continue to work towards preparing our students to be critical thinkers today, leading to successful citizens tomorrow!
Sincerely,
Mollie Chandler
